So. Saturday in shoeboxchat, someone said something about shoebox aloud (it was probably me) and we all got to wondering whatever happened to Ally (fadagaski) and the gang. My friend and I were seriously considering re-recording all the chapters out for Shoebox this summer, as well XD

Awesome! I actually read a part & recorded it myself, once upon a time (i forget the number, but it's the Christmas with the evil mistletoe & Sirius having to snog Snape), but it's awesome to be able to hear other people doing this once again. c:

I suppose you don't have those files anymore? that's chapter 6, btw, and if you still have it I would love to add it to the list. if not, no worries, I'm sure we'll get someone to read it eventually.

Wow! Yay, good for you guys, this is awesome! I started to do the same thing last summer at longcarrides and have only the first 6 parts done. I was going to keep doing more of it this summer, so perhaps I could join in with you or we could each do our own thing and all the more awesome podfic? This is great!! XD

if you want to send me what you've got done, I can totally add it to the post. did you read it all yourself? that's pretty awesome. I've read half of one chapter and about 3/4 of another and already my voice is trying to mutiny. though I suppose doing it all in two or three days doesn't help with that.

we seem to be getting lots of people coming out of the woodwork with a part or two they've done themselves, so we'll have the whole thing sooner than I'd ever thought! If you want to help with the rest, feel free to come talk to us in chat about what all we've got going on. it's so weird; for several years now chat has had hardly anything to do with shoebox at all, except by origin, and now we'll practically all shoebox all the time.

All of the parts are archived here, and are available for download here if you want to add it to the post. And yes, I did it all myself (though my cat chose ill-timed moments to mriaow into the microphone); I do a lot of podficcing outside of SBP so my voice is used to it, but yes! Take a break, haha. I'm leaving the country and won't be back until June when I'm going to finish the big podfic project, and after that will turn my attention to SBP, so I'll let you know what's happening at that point. I'm really looking forward to focusing all my attention on the SBP one since I'm not to proud of some of the earlier ones I did. Good luck with the podficcing!

You guys are awesome for doing this! Podfic is love, and I was so sad to see that sbp_aloud was already dead by the time I found it.

I think I have found Heaven, haha! I love this. I had no idea that sbp_aloud even existed before. (I actually went through the trouble of printing out all of the parts that were finished at one point to read them, the number of pages/amount of ink required for that was UNBELIEVABLE!) I put parts one through four on my iPod and listened to them today, so much fun to be had.
