i'm curious if you know the person in that photo. i'm pretty sure it's of a friend of mine in SF. i suspect the image relates very loosely to the text but i had to ask.

I found it on a site about exotic dancing. I think it was a portrait. Is your friend affiliated with the sex industry in any way?

I chose her because she reminded me of me.

yeah, she's the proprietress of a burlesque show in the bay area called Fat Bottom Revue. i've thought you bore a resemblance to her myself. she's been fighting ovarian cancer for the past two years and almost died last fall. so i felt a bit protective when i saw it. it sounds like you're going through some rough stuff yourself. take care.

for the record, i spent 1 night at the devils whorehouse, the rest at my parents. tonight im in new haven again, booger eye sleeps 'tween kevin and jen, and tomorrow i promised leia one more night at their chateau to go hiking with them in the morning. after that i'll come see you for 3 days, then chris skeists. I MISS YOU TOO. dreadfully.
