God, sorry about this. During one of my extended psych med trial periods, I remember one of the meds they gave me I just cried for two weeks and when I went in they wanted me to try it for another two weeks! Isn't it fun being a human guinea pig?
That sounds pretty fucking familiar. I love it when they tell you to "ride out" the side effects for a bit longer to "give it a chance to work". For me it's usually the sedating effect of a lot of the drugs that I can't tolerate. I feel like I'm swimming through cement. I can barely stay awake. The world is about three steps further from me than I remember it being and they want me to "ride it out". Often, this is while I am employed full time. I just learned to stop taking the shit and then tell them about it after the fact with an implied refusal to take it again
