I recently read an essay defending P.G. Wodehouse’s Antisemitism,
Wodehouse’s Antisemitism In Context by Elliot MiIlstein. It was reprinted in
Plumtopia, a blog devoted to Wodehouse. It infuriated me. (Disclaimer: I’m not Jewish, however my spouse is.)

Yes, but it adds an unpleasant edge, doesn’t it? Personal example: I never read Lovecraft until after I had heard him called a racist, and it made things jump out at me that much harder - things I might have considered just a character’s POV became the author’s, you know? Sometimes it’s best not to know too much about your favorite artists.
