We got back this evening, and my main feeling is

WAAAAAAAAH!  (go up about ten octaves for baby voice)

It was so great!  NO Internet unless you went to...wait for it... How Ya Brewin',  which had some PCs.  I checked my email twice but there was nothing worth responding to.  Also turned my cell phone off, and my brain.

We were staying with my mom, in ( Read more... )

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like you had some good quality time with your Mom and hubby, and got to do some things that you really enjoy and that make you happy (like swimming!).

Yes, it was great. I must edit to write about "The Red Badge of Stupidity". How are you?

Can't wait for the "RBOS" story! And I'm well, thanks. It's interesting that your vacation parallels some of my own favorite vacations at the beach, except that mine were on the Gulf Coast! :-)

Where do you live?

I put the "RBOS" story into the entry. My face still hurts.

So happy, you had some nice days and it seems, the weather was pretty good. I can't imagine to be away from internet and phone for longer than a few days - but I have to give both up for two weeks in September.

Thank you. It isn't so bad once you get used to it. In fact, it's great.

Nice, had a house waiting for you on the shore? Quaint, very quaint indeed.

Quite quaint! There were more lighthouse paintings, china lighthouses, lighthouse-shaped lamps, wooden wall lighthouses...if I had started TP & TP now, it wouldn't be cherubs, it would be lighthouses!

Welcome back, glad you had a good vacation. My family went "down the shore" (Wildwood/Cape May) every August and I have many fond memories of our time there. I went back and re-read TP&TP and found it even funnier the second go-round. Can't wait to see what's in store for House and Johanna/Wilson.

Thank you! My family always referred to it as "the beach" and it wasn't until the last few years that I started to refer to it as "the shore". And bless you for re-reading TP&TP. Yes, there is quite a lot in store for them!
