Calloo! Callay! Or Something Like That

To my tremendous joy I re-discovered my 1962 English copy of Roget's International Thesaurus!  I bought it used when I was in London. It is a cornucopia of language which puts any internet thesaurus to shame.

Because of my great love of words, this is like getting three Christmas presents at once. :D :D :D

I have always appreciated Roget's way of breaking words into themes--I've found that much more useful than the straight 'sub-this-word-for that' that you get off the internet and other thesaurus.

Exactly! There are so many sub-themes! I'm looking forward to using better words. I've already exchanged "vivid pictures" for "florid photomurals"!
