Gack - Why Did I Start Writing This Fandom??

Sep 22, 2017 13:13

To cope with the hideousness of the world, I started reading Jeeves/Wooster stories. I am hooked.

So, knocking out 'Jeeves And The Hardboiled Eggs' was a lot of fun, so I thought I'd start another story with the premise: Bertie is bisexual and is having a casual affair with a chorus girl. Hadn't thought much beyond that.

WELCOME TO MY WORLD, which is jammed with fragments and chapters and scattered posts of a dozen AUs THAT WILL NOT STOP, plus a couple AUs of THOSE AUs, and and and.

I feel your pain.

I can't go read that rec right now but I will. Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention.

You're welcome!

I AM SO HAPPY TO FIND OUT THAT YOU HAVE FIC BITS AROUND!!

I have an outline for a very long Swiss Army Man story where Manny is taken to the hospital (because he's kinda dead) and Hank has to bust him out. But there are so few readers for it, it doesn't feel worth doing. I haven't written a really long multi-scene fic in a long time.

If only you could see all the things in my Vampverse, Riververse, and Stationverse tags. All the draft fragments, and chapters, and AUs of AUs, and things spiraling out of control. And then the orphaned ideas, the fics that are half or a tenth written; the things that are 80% done but stalled, the OH GOD MAKE IT STOP. This is my world.

You are not alone.

Riververse! OMG, one of my absolute favorites! If you ever want to kick around the 80% ones, that's what I did with yarroway sometimes.
