On Twitter people were saying how inept Cas was with his phone--later I realized he could have used the GPS on his phone to find the guys. He was definitely dead weight in this episode. That whole standing around looking mournful thing is really pissing me off.

I agree with your views about this episode - I really loved Sam and Dean going all Rambo in the woods, but I don't see how 2 months was worse than 40 years of hell for Dean!

I also liked the terrorist specialist guy, he had a good sense of humor and some honour, although I think keeping prisoners in solitary confinement counts as torture, too!

On the whole I really liked this episode, plot holes aside, and even Mick's accent wasn't as bleedin' annoying this time!

I simply cannot stand the BMoL; they don't bring anything to the party as far as I'm concerned. Just show up with their magic machines. And are we really to believe Great Britain has no more monsters? What fun is it, then?

I so agree - the BMoL are like the bland angels of seasons past, they are just there to fill out the episodes and as you said they don't bring anything to the show, except annoying accents!

While I feel like "worse than hell", considering what Dean actually went through in hell, is probably an exaggeration - I do get that solitary confinement, for Dean Winchester, would be pretty awful. Especially considering that about his worst fear, the thing that motivates so many of his actions throughout the show, is his fear of abandonment - of being left behind and losing the ones he loves. So... that kinda works for me, in a way.

I also really enjoyed Crowley's nonchalance about the boys being gone, his (very accurate) pointing out of how whoever had them was probably in worse danger than the Winchesters themselves - but I liked it even more because no matter what he says, he DOES care where they are/if they're okay. He gave himself away when he told Cas that apparently it was "above their paygrade" - which means that he'd ALREADY had his people checking into it, looking for Sam and Dean. Yeah. He doesn't care at all, clearly. :P lol

I know solitary confinement would be horrific for Dean; I get the feeling Sam has a richer inner life to draw on. Dean is all about the NOW.
