I wrote a shortened version of this over at spn_bunker.  I'm working out my feeling about this season and the show in general.  All opinions are my own.  Go nuts in the comments, do not be personally abusive or I will delete your comments and ban you from my journal ( Read more... )

I'm sorry the show isn't working for you at the moment, I've loved S11 so far and feel it's got a new lease of life, but that's just my opinion. The thing that amused me is you saying Jensen and Jared are too old to be called 'boys', as my nephews are 44 and 47 yet are still known as 'the boys' and my sisters and I are often referred to as 'the girls' and our ages range from 51 to 66! So I've always thought it was a term of endearment rather than age-related. I hope you stick with 'our boys' and that you enjoy the rest of S11.

I am always sad when I see someone giving up on the show...I do agree that it's not the same as it was back during Kripke's tenure, but even though there have been some really dumb episodes, I still love watching for the brotherly moments between the boys (Jared and Jensen refer to themselves as 'the boys' BTW--it's an endearment, not trying to pass them off as still young ( ... )

Hey there
I must admit, I'm inclined to agree with JJ; I've really enjoyed season 11 so far, and I am looking forward to where they take the 'darkness' story. I'm especially interested in this link between Dean and Amara.

I must admit, in terms of calling Sam and Dean 'boys', well I've got ten years on Jensen, and fourteen on Jared, so they'll always be boys to me :)

You've read my reviews so you know how I feel. And I agree with the others on the use of the term "the boys." I think we as fans feel very close to them and able to relate. I'm a tad older than them too, so I don't feel guilty calling them that either LOL But I'm still sad you are feeling depressed by the show and wish for something else... Or maybe you just wish it were over already? You are definitely not the only one that feels either way. I'm glad you enjoyed Baby <3

In all honesty honey I'm loving the show at the moment, but I'm one of those fans that bar throwing me into burning oil and threatening me with some form of oil loving bitey critters, I'm always going to love it. It may wax and wain, it may even on occasion suck, but it's still *my* show and it's gotten me through some hella crap over the years.

It's never going to be the same as it was, writers have moved on, hell the creator has moved on, but it's still *my* show, ya know? *hugs*

I wish there was a way for me to help you through this, but if it's any consolation, a lot of people go through slumps with their fave tv shows.

As for the 'boys' thing, well, they've always been the boys to me, even though I'm actually younger than the pair of them O.o
