An LJ friend pointed out the gigantic plot hole/continuity screwup during the usual end-of-episode brother bonding dialogue. Dean suggests that closing the gates of Hell will give these kids a chance at a normal life, and Sam doesn't argue -- in fact, he hopes it will give him and Dean a chance to retire, too.
One problem: sending all the demons away will not force the Scooby Gang or any other hunter into early retirement, because that does nothing to stop the violent spirits, werewolves, wendigos, rugarus, evil clowns, etc. It doesn't even stop the kids' pet peeve vamps from bloodsucking, so why would the kids stop hunting? And shouldn't Sam & Dean be smart enough to see that?
Bad writers! *slaps their hands with a ruler*

"Sam, so we close the gates of Hell. But there's still gonna be all kinds of nasty out there. Those kids are as stuck as we are."

Chrissy was annoying, I so wanted to like her but her little tude was aggravating.
Is it horrible that I was routing for Victor until I found out he had the kids parents killed himself? And that was SUCH a stupid convoluted thing to do, like he couldnt find orphans who wanted to hunt?
I liked the IDEA of the ep as in after 10 seasons and a movie Dean and Moose can open up a hunters school for wayward orphans...yeah that would be a perfect way to end the series.
