Here's Some Moar Puppy

We finally got a trainer for Fletcher!  So now starts the last part of housebreaking (augh) and a whole lot else (augh).  But we'll all be the better for it.

Also, I may have found a military expert, someone's uncle who is a professor.  I feel embarrased that he'll be reading fanfiction, told him to start at Chapter 90 and I'd explain anything he ( Read more... )

I'm doing all my lj posting by hand, and I can't curse fluently enough in English to comment appropriately. Fletcher sounds worse than my twins combined. He's also cuter and probably doesn't destroy as many shoes.

Shoes?? OMG, leave a shoe out and it's a goner! Insides torn off, heels chewed off, you name any way to eviserate a shoe, Fletcher will figure it out!

It's about a pair of shoes every other month, for each of the twins. The speed record is twenty-five days for brand shoes. Cheap shoes don't survive a week. I think in this respect they're honest competition for Fletcher. And let's not mention glasses, shall we?

Yay for a trainer for BaconFletcher! He is the cutest little dog!

I only use HTML on LJ. I gave up on RichText years ago. Learning some codes was much easier than screaming in frustration when I couldn't get things under a cut.

Rich Text also used to keep most of my formatting when I pasted in the text from Word. Now I lose all of my formatting, and I can't bear the idea of formatting it all. DX

Believe me, this is going to be a battle of wills. Fletcher is scared of his own shadow.

Fletcher is so cute!

LJ cut gives me fits! If I use html, it cuts part off and won't expand when clicked on (graphics) so I have to use rich text and it takes about 4 tries to get it to work.

Hurray for potential updates to TP&TP!! ♥

Thanks! I'm going to TRY to get another chapter up by Monday morning! The military guy and I had a great correspondence going, then I sent him some stuff to read, and...

silence.

I hope I haven't weirded him out.

I know how hard you work (and how much research you do) to keep TP&TP realistic and accurate - but remember that when specific areas are out of your field of knowledge or expertise, they are quite likely also out of the field of knowledge and expertise of your readers (especially readers of something as specialized and esoteric as TP&TP) ... so if you know how you want the story to "turn out", I'm sure we'll all forgive you if it isn't perfectly accurate from a military perspective. I'd say just go ahead and write it and advance the story toward your outcome. You can always edit in some more accurate military scene stuff later on. (But maybe I'm just being impatient).

One writer advised me to write the ending and work backwards. (Yes, an ending, I have one.) You're a sweetheart.

Awwww! Those pics are sooooo cute!

I've found LJ-cut to be incredibly frustrating in the past, especially when I've tried to post vids.

Thank you! Yes, I'm going to have to learn some formatting so I can code my docs properly.
