Note: this was an advance review from my blog, which I write in another voice, as another person. I added an afterword with additional thougts from seeing the show tonight..
Yep, House's defence to the parole board seemed like a bit of a public service announcement to me, and at odds with his acceptance of his guilt/wanting to be punished which is revealed later.
Languid I think is the right word for the tone of this episode. The prison did seem a bit more relaxed and comfortable than I expected (despite the obligatory villain). I expected wilson-substitute to get killed due to something House did or didn't do so I'm glad that didn't happen.
I enjoyed watching the episode, didn't love it, just feel a bit flat about it afterwards.
Not looking forward to another round of whether Wilson should/should not be friends with House.
I do wonder what House was up to during the three months he was away and why he came back.
I thought the episode was good. It appeared to be a minimum security prison. One of the really unrealistic aspects was placing gang members of any age with disabled persons. And there's no way House would have been allowed to have a cane - no way.
