My Friend About Season Four

 My friend has just started watching Season 4, and he wrote to me   "I hate this season.  I love this season." Today he sent me his reasons why.

Wilson actually seems to be enjoying himself for the first time, toying with House like a cat with a mouse!
--In the light of what is to come, I find your friend's observation interesting. IMO there was a basis for Wilson's behavior when he sawed House's cane, and we knew he was capable of being manipulative way back in season one, Detox. But your friend has a point. The writers really let Wilson loose in S4. I wonder if the earlier episodes inspired the finale or was alpha male Wilson deliberate foreshadowing.

Yes, we've had a lot of back and forths about Wilson. Carle calls him "my personal fetish object" in a very early post, and he tends to see the character as only being a foil for House rather than a character in his own right. And a manipulative character who perhaps is/was darker than House deep down.

--I like this interpretation as long as dark doesn't mean dark!Wilson. I see him as more manipulative with many issues that Wilson prefers to suppress.

--I suppose that closely coincides how TPTB like to use the character, but it's not enough for my fangirl fantasies. :P
