Have A Puppy

May 04, 2011 13:03

Here's Fletcher discovering a kitten's favorite toy: a round ridged plastic circle with a ball too big to be removed.  It can be batted around and around.  It originally belonged to our cat Rupert, but Fletcher loves it. It's a rainy afternoon, what the heck.

Ack! That's so cute! Of all commercial toys besides wands, my kitties like the ring.

Unfortunately, with Fletcher here, the kitties don't have a chance at toys, even their own. He grabs their toy mice and chews them to pieces. He's made off with socks, Jeff's wallet, my address book, my underpants (TMI), and ballpoint pens. He loves ballpoint pens. I called the vet to make sure the ink isn't poisonous.

Fun :) Nice dog you have, and what kind of cat? (I had a Siamese cat once upon a time)

I have a brother and sister, no particular breed. If you go back a few entries, the one called "Peacable Kingdom" shows all three of them on the couch.

He's so cute, and the paws look too large for him! Guess he has a lot of growing to do.
[And you choosing to have two cats and a dog makes feel less silly for having three kids./TMI]

Three kids are more work than pets!

When do you get time to write that much??

I'm on partial leave from work until my antidepressants work. I also sleep little whenever I'm not taking valium, and I spend very little time eating because I'm not hungry. Let me repeat my hope that the antidepressants work.
My kids aren't babies - the eldest is eleven and requires (and wants) no maintenance at all, and the twins are in school eight hours per day. Their school provides lunch, and my husband cooks dinner.
Plus, I'm a total hypocrite and despite my being so left-wing and everything I have a cleaning lady twice a week. The only things I do myself are grocery shopping, shouting at the kids (usually "Close that damn book already!"), and using the lice shampoo and comb (too often).

On the other hand they're so damn cute that they are really as good as pets in that way.

The one of him with the entire ring in his mouth is hilarious!

Yes, he dragged it all over the living room! Right now he's under my office chair chewing a STINKY bone.

He may not have the stamina, but he has TEN TIMES the energy!
