Ugh. B had this done a few weeks before Nate came. Of course, every one is different, but he did get it out via laproscopic and I don't remember his haveing complete rest at all. I'm not sure B could actually do that!

oops - I meant to say that I hope you get it all figured out. Really bad timing the gall bladder has, huh?

Do you need me to watch Cassie some? She's welcome to hang out with us here. I can't promise there won't be a ton of tv watching, but I'd be happy to watch her.

Good Luck!! I had my gall bladder removed about 5 years ago. Easiest surgery ever! I was fine and doing all my normal things the next morning.

I had mine out laproscopically 4 years ago, a few months after my son was born and although my parents took him for a couple of days after the procedure because he was still a newborn and needed lots of holding, I think I'd have been ok to take care of him the next day as a 4 year old. It didn't take long at all to bounce back. Hope it all goes well! Have you been having attacks? I thought that pain was worse than labor!!

Yes I have been having pretty bad attacks, that's why he wants to have it so soon.

You'll feel so much better after it's over! I've heard of people still having attacks even after the surgery but I haven't had any problems at all. One of my aunts still has to stay away from certain foods though. Anyway it's probably best to get it taken care of ASAP, my doctor didn't take me seriously the first time I told him about my gall bladder attacks and he ended up wasting 4 months and I could have been saved the pain all that time.
