there were several people in the meeting whom I recognized from the Tea-Party. 'Cept, they were here to show support for the county to give more money to a Homeless Inititiative, and they wanted the county to just give them a building, and pledge more monetary assistance ( Read more... )

No one ever said they had to have a realistic view of the world.

My issue is how hypocritical of these people to on one occassion decry gov't spending, and then in a separate instance, ask for more support?

That's something that NEVER seems to bother them, for some reason. Even Texas governor Rick Perry, a mere week after talking secession, was in the news the other day asking for more federal help from the CDC for the swine flu pandemic. Doesn't he know how wrong and evil it would be for the government to step in and help out in a pandemic? That would TOTALLY send the wrong message. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps, Rick!
