LOL! I'm gonna hafta check that out. Which version did you get? Mine's the HD special edition thingy one. There's like three different versions of the DVD set. I'm just wondering if ours is different, what those differences are, and if the extra $$ was worth it. ;) ~TR
I got the normal region 4 version, because it was the only one I could find. It comes with audio in English and Spanish and captions in English and Spanish as well. Extras: The Making of, Special effects, Deleted scenes, Behind the cameras of the action scenes and Isaac's art.
Well, let's see... *gets DVDs, slides box carefully out of celophane wrapper, sets wrapper aside* First, it comes in a gorgeous little collectors box thing, which is apparently very important to me. ;) *spends five minutes looking at the fold out pictures and Ep. descriptions on the inner box that actually holds the DVDs* Oh, sorry. Umm... yes, yes, deleted scenes (50 of them); Making of; The Special Effects; The Stunts; Profile of Tim Sale; The Score; Mind Reader Game; Character Connections (The Map with characters & strings); Helix Revealed (shows where all the hidden helixes are); PictureInPicture (cast & crew video commentaries); Artwork (Issac's paintings & comics detailed in eps); Web content (exclusives, trailers, downloads, updates to DVD player, Genetic Abilities Test); and, of course, the 73-minute original Pilot episode w/ video commentary by Tim Kring. And there's something called "My Scenes" where you can bookmark certain favorite parts of each episode, but I haven't tried it out, so I can't explain it. And we get... ooh
( ... )
Wow, yours is way cooler. I haven't checked all the deleted scenes but I know there is no extra Claude in Company man, I'm incredibly disappointed, I wanted the party scene :(. Does yours include it?
I'm hoping that when I get the DVD over here (Christmas) I'll be able to watch it dubbed in Spanish, though it sounds like it will be something of a comedy experience ;) But actually I suspect it will probably just be subtitled.
Christmas?! That's so not cool, you shouldn't have to wait that long :(
Yes, it's funny to listen to the actors in another language when you already know what they sound like. Also the dubbing is in a less international more Mexican Spanish, so there are a lot of expressions that sound absolutely hilarious coming from Milo Ventimiglia or Adrian Pasdar.
And yay, I hope it cures your block :)
Well, it's not exactly curing it but at least it's giving me new ideas
Yeah, the release date is 17 December or something. Gah.
And hee, Nathan and Peter as Mexicans! XD ... yeah, the more I think about it, the more I suspect that the Region 2 disk will be subtitled and not dubbed.
Ideas are good ... can't wait to see what you're working on! :)
Yes! I will never get over Peter saying 'monitos'. And I just heard Claude's voice. Me no like; and he addresses Peter as 'usted', how proper and completely un-Claude-like.
Do you share Region with the rest of Europe? If you do then maybe it will be dubbed in Spanish Spanish, which is a scarier idea that Mexican Spanish.
