When someone asked Orson Welles to name the three greatest American directors of all time, he said "John Ford, John Ford, John Ford."

i have the box set "50 classic westerns," and most all the movies are from the 30's. I am really impressed with how good the movies are, for the most part.

Most of these "classic westerns" are from the 1930s? This decade was not exactly known for top-notch Westerns.
