I watched 'Mother Goose' this week when browsing for something interesting, still holds up as a funny movie.

I went on a Cary Grant binge a few months ago. He really was (and still is) a step above everyone else. HGF is good but I also love The Awful Truth and Philadelphia Story.

Bringing up Baby! Absolutely unbeatable.

But yeah, Cary Grant is a step above. And I watch it with my kids - screwball comedies really work across the age groups ;)

Yeah, Andy came in the middle and HGF is such a crazy storyline that I'm sure he had no idea what was going on, but he still loved watching it.

I love sharing those gems with my kids, don't you? It's the kind of stuff I used to watch with my parents , and I feel like we're handing it down the generations, and even though so much of the cultural context has changed, these films remain fresh and accessible. I watch old westerns with them as well...
