Olympics!

There's a guy from my office who took a leave of absence to concentrate on making the Olympic team for kayaking. He was doing well on the World Circuit last year, but then while weight-training early this year, he dropped an 80-pound weight on his hand and broke his finger. I love the Olympics too. I've been watching it since I was a little kid. I hope you get touch the medal! That would be almost as good as the Stanley Cup....

I love the Olympics! All of these athletes have made so many sacrifices. I was very happy for Tom Daley in the diving--his profile about his relationship with his father was very touching and sad.

Tom Daley's ecstatic reaction to his bronze medal was a joy to watch! And Mo Farah! Team GB over here has been doing the nation proud. I've never seen so many smiling people in the streets of London

school took the children to watch the torch relay and then they had the chance to have a picture with he torch and were very enthused, I can imagine how your local kids will react to seeing a real live medal!

Yay! Great to have a link with a real olympic winner! Last year I touched a gold medal belongiong to the GB bob sleigh girl from the last winter olympics. It's big and heavy and kind of awesome. A girl in the year above master mel at school was in the GB swim team (aged 16) but sadly didn't get through the heats. Rio maybe? Enjoy seeing your (almost very own) medal!
