It's time for the Third Annual OC Sentence Fiction Challenge.

Who? You.
What? Submit 2 or 3 sentences as story ideas. Examples from previous years: 'Ryan goes to London.' 'Marissa shot Ryan instead of Trey.' The sentences will be exchanged and assigned, and then you write one story based on one of the sentences. Stories should be at least 1000 words in length.
When? Sentences are due by June 5 and assignments will be handed out on June 6. Stories will be due July 6.
Where? Email your sentences to me at oc.challenges@gmail.com. On the due date (and not before), post your story in your journal and then post the link to a post in my journal.
Why? Because hiatus has started and we need to keep ourselves occupied.

Further instructions:
  • Don't sign up if you don't think you'll write a fic. Unlike the Missing Scene Challenge, these stories are written *for* someone else, and everyone who writes a story wants a story. We did well last year - only 3 stories out of 38 didn't get written. But by my estimates, that's 3 too many.

  • If there are certain things you can't (won't) write, let me know. I'll do my best to give you something enjoyable, but remember this *is* a challenge, and sometimes it's fun to expand yourself.

  • If you'd prefer to be a back-up writer in case someone drops out, let me know.
