Don't feel dumb, pets are family and I will fucking kick to death anyone who says otherwise. This is something I feel very, very strongly about. I also know the fear when a cat doesn't follow routine, when they're always back at that same time and no one can seem to understand why you're so upset because sometimes they don't "just wander off". Yeah, I feel super strongly about that too, but you hear it often enough that I at least still feel kind of silly getting so upset about it, especially when as my housemate (meaning well, in his defence) said, "you don't even know if he's actually dead". Thanks for the thoughts.

Oh god yeah, the zombie AU. The first part is in beta and there's going to be upward of 24K I am suspecting by the time the guys get all their feelings out. (There are a lot of Feelings going on). It is the epitome of shortfic disaster. That being said, the two things I have posted are tiny, so I know I am still somewhat capable of writing tiny!

{{{hugs}}} re Riku. I know how heartwrenching it is when a beloved kitty goes missing. I do hope he shows up -- my friend's cat reappeared after a fortnight, having been trapped in a neighbour's house while neighbour was on vacation.

Sad for you (and meeee!) that big bang didn't work out. But you're right, you can't force it.

It's never happened to me before, and Riku really is so precious. ): Not just because he's my baby boy and I've had him for five years, but because my fiance gave him to me, which makes him especially special. Still no sign of him yet, but... I'll keep hoping I guess, maybe he really is just lost and will find his way home. Can only hope for a christmas miracle, right?

SO. SAD. UGH. Seriously, having to make that call stressed me out a lot more than it really should have. I wanted to write it so badly. I really envy writers who CAN just sit down and MAKE words happen no matter what.

I hope you're not stressing too much about your big bang. It sucks so much when you want to write something so badly, but the words just don't come :( And as frustrating as it is for you, because I know how much that verse means to you, don't worry about how it looks to anyone else. Even if it does correlate to a new fandom, that's totally okay. This is fandom, and you're allowed to do what makes you happiest. FOLLOW YOUR HEART, NELLIE ♥

Thanks so much for all the helpful words and support over the whole new fandom thing. <3 It has seriously been stressing me out, which is dumb I know but I really care about writing and fandom and it's frustrating, especially when I wanted so badly to write that verse and then it didn't work but I can turn around and write 10K in two weeks on some new shiny thing. But I'm trying my hardest not to feel guilty!

I hope so too. Still no sign of him, but I'm staying positive. He's a big boy, I'm sure if he's alright he'll find his way home eventually. ):
