Jacks has always wanted a tattoo ever since she was 16. I managed to talk her into waiting till she was 18 and then I would take her. Well she finally went last night for a "test" tattoo! She wants a larger one on her side eventually but last night she went and got this:

I couldn't take the pain of a tattoo but I think some can be nice and I love fairies/angels so I like this one.

I've always wanted one, but I'm afraid of the pain as well. Jacks said it didn't hurt with the exception of one section. Otherwise she never really felt any pain. She is planning a larger one on her hip in full color of a fairy with dancing shoes sitting down. She danced for 18 years so she wanted something that would be special for her.

I suppose you have to think it worth the trade off for the pain. Me and needles are not friends. It's good to get something personal though rather than just following the crowd.

She wants to intensify the pink once it has healed. My poor mom almost had a stroke. Especially when she heard she wants another one.

Thats a nice one. I am still deciding what to get and now Beth wants one also. I told her to wait a couple of years, and if she keeps up her grades, she can get one for junior year (HS) but something simple.

I was determined for jacks not to get one when she was 16. i let her pierce her belly button and said when she was 18 we could talk about it again. it's taken her 5 more years to decide on the one above. I'm glad she kept it simple she may make the wings more colorful but i wish it was a tad smaller.

That is beautiful. The artwork is wonderful. I can't really make out the pink, but maybe you'll post another picture after it's intensified?

Yes the pink is very hard to pick up. I didn't the first time I saw it. I think once it is darker it will look better.
