Well, I don't have 4000 dollars in the bank, but if I did, I'd be willing to spend around fifty of it on a nice urn for poochie's ashes.

If a pet is old, there's no way I'm spending that much on it. Okay, there's really no way I would spend more than $3,000, say, on a pet. If that. The Big Yellow Dog cost $2,000, but she was young enough that I gulped and signed up for a Care Credit card.

Yeah, when they are young, and it's a real fix, it's worth it. Getting a new one could be as much as a $1000, depending on the breed. I know, we love our puppies.

I put out $700 on a critically injured young cat before they told me he was going to need emergency surgery in the middle of the night at a hostpital I would have to transfer him to myself, that opening him up would cost another $700, that depending on the damage it could run up some more, that there was no guarantee he was going to survive, and that it was likely that IF he survived, he was going to have some raging colitis that had been put into remission before the injury but would surely reoccur due to all the stress and trauma ( ... )

I think he's all, 'Sure she's doing you now but deep down she likes me best.'

Because he's got great self-esteem.

But.

It's hard for me to committ to saying he's got it all wrong.
