Continuing from this thread on Aeryn's journalAfter they had rested up a bit on Talyn, Aeryn decided she should give Gil and Catherine a clue as to what they might be in for. The potential dangers

Catherine nodded at Aeryn's words, though she had to admit she was only half-listening. Her attentions were focused on Talyn, and she smiled as a humming sound came from behind a wall when she placed her hand on the surface.
She turned at mention of Rygel and let a light chuckle loose. "He's... persistent," Catherine commented, though it was kind of cute, she had decided. He'd been by three times to check on her - offering to tend her injuries, claiming retribution on the wormhole that led to her injury, and vowing his service to her, alone.
Grissom gave Catherine a look and nodded to Aeryn. "Criminals? Charged with?" He'd caught her repeated use of 'Peacekeeper' - Crais had mentioned that word a few times, as well - "You said that this ship is Peace..keeper?" he added before she could reply.
"Gil, breathe," Catherine said, stopping to look through a small opening.
"What? If we're in stolen property-"
"Gil! We're on a spaceship. Who cares if it's stolen!" Taking a step toward him, Catherine pointed. "This is your dream come true

Aeryn smiled. "Talyn is not stolen property. And believe me, the Peacekeeprs are the enemy. Do not be fooled by the name. I know, I used to be one. So was Crais

Catherine frowned, as it sounded like Aeryn had lost more than just the man she loved. Of course, Catherine could tell that losing John was what was weighing heaviest on the woman's mind.
"Well, much as I don't care for the sound of experimenting," she said, shaking her head, "the result is amazing." She placed a hand on one of the support beams and smiled.
Thinking of Talyn, searching for his missing mother, immediately sent Catherine's thoughts to Lindsay.
Grissom noticed her change and leaned slightly as Catherine looked away, as if she was simply exploring. he wanted to tell her that Lindsay would be all right, just as he wanted to believe that Nick and Greg and Sara would be all right.
And poor Hank.
"I'm sorry," he finally decided on, and nodded to Aeryn. "I didn't mean to imply anyone was guilty." Turning, Grissom motioned toward the corridor and added: "What can we do to help Talyn find his mother?"
Aeryn smiled, "Talyn is a beautiful ship. I had the honor of giving him his name. I named him for my father."
She sighed, "but Talyn is showing signs of instability. He's too quick to fire his weapons and he's destroyedother ships. Fortunately he has yet to destroy an innocent vessal, but he has fired on Moya." She reached to his wall, "we were looking for a way to remove his weapons, but have yet to find it."
Aeryn smiled at their willingness to join the crew and not sit back and mope. Well, I cantake you to the bridge and show you how to decifer the readouts. Show you what star charts we have. Give you quick lessons in learning the ropes." She gave them both a serious look, "because I'm not going to lie, it is dangerous out here. It's best you know right off how to survive."
