Finding Moya

Catherine sat in the transport pod as they flew between Talyn and Moya. She had her hand on Grissom's shoulder, just feeling him helped to calm her nerves. What would the rest of Aeryn's friends be like? Would they accept another two humans? And finally the knowledge that getting back to Moya meant that she and Gil really weren't going back home.

Grissom watched out the viewport as they did the fly-by. The ship - Talyn's mother - was huge. He could feel the slight tensing of Catherine's fingers on his shoulder, but he didn't turn to check on her. His eyes, instead, were on Aeryn, who had gone almost rigid.

Catherine's eyes opened wide. Instinctively she reached for Grissom when she saw the drop, but, quickly looked around the room. "Oh my ..." It was extraordinary. She'd never seen anything like it. The gentle hum, the lights, the wideness ... they were clearly in the nerve center of the ship.

And the creature at the end of the walkway, with mulitple arms all working in perfect synchronicity to the sounds. "This is amazing."

They slowly walked across the catwalk and approached what she soulc only assume was Pilot. The closer they got to the being, the more incredible it became. They really, truly were among aliens.

Pilot watched as the two new humans approached with Commander Crais as Moya gently spoke of Talyn's approval of the two.

"Welcome to Moya. She says that her offspring has spoken highly of you and she is glad to finally meet you. I am Pilot, and I too am glad to make your acquaintance."

If ever Grissom looked like a kid in the proverbial candy store, it was now. The... creature... in front of him was amazing, to say the absolute least. At his greeting, Grissom nodded. "We would speak highly of Talyn, in return." At the thump from Catherine, Grissom turned to give her a look.

Okay, it probably sounded stupid, but it was true.

Motioning to his abuser, Grissom smiled. "This is Catherine Willows. And I'm Gil Grissom. We've heard quite a lot about you, from Officer Sun."

"Moya has opened up some quarters for you, next to Officer Sun. Aeryn felt it would be more comfortable if you were near someone you knew" Pilot explained.

He looked at Crais, "Commander, would you please keep an eye on our new friends. We have ... guests aboard and they are not entirely trustworthy. There is a Peacekeeper Officer being held in one of the cells. The others claim they were his prisoners and that they escaped." He hesitated a moment, "One of them is a Scarran."
