both those stories are lovely, but I especially like the rooster, making sure all his ladies are enjoying watermelon

What I DON'T imagine, what I have NEVER imagined, what I could not have MADE UP is a rooster who, when given a chunk of watermelon, BREAKS IT UP WITH HIS BEAK, and then divvies it up amidst his hens. Who herds his hens towards any new bit of food in the yard, making sure they all eat. Who keeps away the hawks AND is a sweetheart AT THE SAME TIME!

That is an excellent rooster.

The rooster's name is George.

That's a sweet rooster!

I hope her third husband is healing fast. I wish them all the best. It's good to know of others with more than one man. Difficult balance :)

What sweet stories!

And I know quite a few people who are in polyamorous relationships. One thing I think is great about that kind of relationship is that if something happens, there are more people to help out. I've also heard that extra partners makes parenting much easier, especially for the first year or so, when nobody ever gets enough sleep.

I hope the woman's husband makes it through okay.
