Excuse me, I can't write anything after this first sentence until I untangle the necklace from my hair.

Ah.

The problem with this necklace is that I love it too much. Whenever I put it on, I leave it on for weeks. I sleep in it. It gets caught. On everything.

My friend Stephanie Shaw brought it back to my from London. From a particular part of ( Read more... )

Yeah storydraft! I'm between projects right now, so if you're looking for readers, this would be a good time!

Awright. Since you offer. You shall be the first besides Sita... Although Patty heard the first bit over the phone. And Ys read the first bit over email. But you shall be the first to receive the whole thing.

I'm looking for ways to cut into the beginning. The unnecessary stuff, or stuff that doesn't match up with the end. Or move some of the stuff to OTHER places, so it's not so front-loaded.

And things that don't make sense.

And... Oh, whatever. You can read it and say nothing. Also looking for things you like, just so that I don't drown myself in the bathtub. :)

It's a he. His name is Olthar, AKA "Olthar of Excesses," AKA "The Angel of Iniquity." He's mentioned twice, sort of by the by. I don't think we'll need to cut him. :)

Seriously, I'll read yours, you'll read mine (not for the first time, but it's REALLY different now, I promise), everyone will be happy.

I'll read yours, but I'll finish PATTY'S first. I've been a BAD WRITING BUDDY to her. But I try to warn people, I'm slower than molasses out of hell when it comes to beta-reading novels.

I have to say that having one's poem quoted first thing in the morning is one of the best ways to start a day.
