After we saw the screening we christened him Hot Doctor and we went to the pub and had a drink to him. He was a great character, shame he's gone.

I remember reading a spoiler that he died at some point, so I wasn't expecting him to be permanent; but when I saw the first ep it was still a huge shock (and there was a huge gasp in the cinema!)

I knew he wasn't going to last long, but I did think he would have lasted the series :(( at the very least. I did have a gasp moment myself XD I'm glad I'm not the only one who got shocked at loosing him so soon! hehe.

I too was surprised and saddened by the flaily death of surprise, because for all the reasons you said he would have fitted in Torchwood perfectly.

Oh goodness yes! I didn't expect for a minute he was a "baddie", not until he'd whipped out the gun and then it all went to pot.

I say we all subscribe to the delusion that he never actually died. It's all a huge big hoax, honest!
