It Began Like This [Merlin, Ianto]

It was during a rift storm that Ianto Jones found himself transported from twenty-first centaury Wales into something that worryingly resembled the medieval times. It was a small consolation that said medieval times appeared to still be in Wales (judging by the screams of terror and yells of authority) when only moments after spontaneously appearing in the courtyard of some castle, Ianto found himself arrested and being tried for sorcery.

He'd not a moment to blink at the sheer laughability of that accusation before he was thrown unceremoniously into a rather unpleasant smelling prison cell. Ianto hadn’t a chance to open his mouth in protest before the iron gate clanged shut and he found himself suddenly alone, a feeling of acute dread creeping up his spine as he wondered just what the hell he’d landed himself in this time
