"This isn't the type of establishment in which I'd have expected to find a well-dressed Welshman- such as yourself- in." Jack said. He almost fancied he heard the exact moment Ianto's heart stopped beating- the pulsating muscle shocked still by the very sound of his voice. He tried not to smile.
Ianto turned slightly, bracing his hands against the bar as he laid his eyes upon Jack; words beyond him as he stared at his boss for long, drawn-out minutes before turning suddenly away. There was a thumb of whisky on the bar top before him, Ianto reached for and swallowed it down before Jack could so much as blink.
"I guess I'm just full of surprises then, sir." Ianto muttered, his cheeks darkening as if the situation was only now sinking in.
"I guess you are," Jack agreed, leaning his elbow against the bar and turning his face to gaze out across the see of dancing, thrusting bodies. Dancing, thrusting male bodies. He smiled flirtatiously at a faceless boy giving him the eye before turning his attention back ( ... )
