[Properly dated to today / Monday after her talk with Keiichi.

Screaming can be heard from the lake. Not screams of help, but shouts of anger. A whole lot of noise is being made from one girl. If one sees her they'll notice her rage is also being taken out in the form of skipping - well no - chucking rocks into the lake. Sooner or later Winry's ( Read more... )

OI! WINRY GIRL! YOU'RE FRIGHTENING THE DUCKS! Stow it!

[Shouting of one Jack Sparrow can be heard from the trees near-ish the lake, where he's busy working on the boat.]

Shut up! [Her first reaction is to direct her anger toward Jack. Right now she's to angry to be polite. If... if she ever was polite to Jack, that is.]

[Oh--WHAT? Jack's in no mood. He's been trying to make the ducks feel welcome for weeks now in the hopes of getting his hat back. He comes stomping out of the trees.]

Lake hasn't left you; hasn't lied to you. Stop abusing it with small rocks. And stop all that poxy shouting, my head's a bit tender today.

I wasn't talking about the stupid lake! [And just to spite him she tosses another rock in.]

[After finding out the news, Sokka had waited about an hour, then showed up at the doorstop to her house hoping to talk to Winry. Failing that, he decided to just wait for her on her doorstop. Good friend that he may be, waiting there is a long time to keep occupied. So after the journals become boring, he ends up being entertained by a small lemur who had arbitrarily decided to tag along. Right now, Sokka is in the middle of trying to teach him to wield a small stick like a sword. In fact, he's so involved in this he had stopped watching for Winry's approach.]

No no, Momo. You have to hold it up higher, to protect your face!

[Cold and tired Winry trudges home, not expecting to see Sokka on the steps. When she does, she stares. The girl won't say anything for now, but just watch in confusion.]

[Momo chirps excitedly and raises the sword stick up and up, and over his back and starts scratching at his back.]

No that's! ... okay, I will admit, for a lemur, that is pretty smart. Just- [And that's when he notices Winry and falls silent.]

Here. [Her voice is throaty and cracked. She kneels down by the lemur and takes away the 'sword,' scratching his back herself.]

[He's been looking all over town for you, girl. He should've thought about the lake, but he didn't think she'd go that far. So right after the sun begins to set, he finally runs into her in the woods on her way home, just a flash of blond hair farther up the leaf-buried trail.]

Hey! [He trots over to her, making sure to let himself be seen.]

[Even if she didn't see him, Winry recognized the voice. Her own is hoarse when she responds, and thankfully the dark hides any evidence of her crying.]

Raph?

[Oh, no. You can't hide stuff like that from him. He knows she'd be upset. He was prepared for this. As soon as he's close enough, he reaches out to touch her shoulder.]

I been lookin' all over for you.

I haven't been hiding. [Winry keeps walking. It's cold out, and she knows the weather probably is worse on him than her.]

[This is the scene that Emil stumbles across on his usual aimless daily wandering. He never really knew Haruki, so he didn't pay all that much attention to the announcement that he was sent home, but oh, does he ever know that reaction.

But he also knows that sometimes you just want to be alone, so rather than call out to her, he'll just remain some distance away watching for the time being.]

[She doesn't notice him, and keeps yelling at... nothing.]

Winry...

[It's not even a conscious vocalization, more a wish that he could do something to take away that pain he knows she must be feeling right now.]

[Well, Wolfwood's made it a habit of hanging around the lake for some reason or another-it's probably a love-hate relationship, he thinks-and watches from under a tree, just a little ways behind Winry, as she flings rocks like someone who really, really hated them.

The sign of wanting to beat someone bloody, but not having the means to get ahold of them? ...Probably.]

[cough, cough]

Leave a few rocks for the next person, miss!

[Hell, he might need them next. You never know!]

[The girl stop mid-wind up as if someone had caught her arm before she could make the throw. She turns around slowly to look at the speaker having not expected anyone else to be around. Especially since the coldness of November had been settling in.]

H-hello?

[Don't mind the black-clad figure sitting in the shade, just a few trees away. Possibly wearing a scarf. Definitely sitting against a giant cross. :Db]

You were so engrossed in your work, I was worried you'd turn them on me if I interrupted.
