Some of you've probably seen the 52 books in 52 weeks thing I've been working on, and now I've added an addition to that.

I saw that singingrl was doing 100 movies in a year, and thought it was a fantastic idea. There's tons of films I've always meant to see, but never have yet. So, I started my own list: 100 films in 1 year.

<--- They're both over on my ( Read more... )

crap, movies, books

LOL, thanks. I'm not moving as quickly as I'd planned, but I still have hope, hee! :)

I figure I could get the 52 books in, but only if I was allowed to count books I re-read. ;o)

I'm a re-reader too, hehe, but so far I haven't done that while I've been keeping track. I have too many new things on my shelves to read, so it's keeping me busy so far. :)

Books recs.. um.. Oh, the adult books "The Guy Next Door", "Boy Meets Girl", "Every Boy's Got One" and "She Went All The Way" by Meg Cabot. The first 3 are written in email. Hilarious, with romance, if you go for that sort of thing.

Thanks for the recs! I'll check them out when I have a chance. :)

Oh both those lists are awesome. I'm also doing something similar, but the way you're logging your movies is much cooler :)

52 books in 52 weeks wow! I planned on reading 62 books in a year ( booklist) of which I am doing terrible at by the way. OMG I'm only getting 1 book read a month! How patethic...

Aww, thanks! And that's very cool that you're doing something similar.

...of which I am doing terrible at by the way.

Me too! I started back in September and I've only read 17 so far, when I should be on, like, 30! I still have hope I'll catch up and finish on time, but I'd better get cracking on it, lmfao. :)

You have The Outsiders on that list (and even though I will never get the image of Matt Dillon saying, "Let's do it for Johnny" out of my head. It's absolutely terrible might I add) I will recommend Rumble Fish then. I haven't seen it but my mom says it's one of Matt Dillon's best. Another book from S.E. Hinton too. And I dunno it's an artsy movie aparently, a cross between The Lost Boys and Big Fish. Both wonderful movies, and The Lost boys is on your list. I'm ashamed you haven't seen that movie yet though, terrific!

The way you can't get "Let's do it for Johnny" out of your head, is the way I can't get Matt Dillon as Melvin Moody's "You BROKE my NOSE!" out of mine. Though, that at least makes me laugh. It's one of those lines I say all the time because it's so damn hilarious. (He's SUCH a bad actor though, heh.)

Well, I've seen The Lost Boys now. All the things on the list are things I've watched, not just planning to watch. :)

Aye, gotcha....well I take back my last comment now. Wasn't The Lost boys pretty funny though. I think the first time I saw that I was like 7.

It was great. Very funny. I don't know why I hadn't seen it before. It was just one of those things you plan to see, want to see, but never actually get around to it for the longest time, lol. :)

where's the list of one's you're going to watch? I haven't actually seen any of the ones you've seen. I'd love to watch more movies, but I just don't have the time. It sounds like a pretty good idea though. Have fun!

I don't have a list of ones I plan to watch. Not a concrete one anyway. This is just more of "let's see how many movies I watch in a year" not "these are the 100 I'm going to see" - if that makes sense.

I watch much more TV than I watch movies. And I almost *never* make it to an actual theater unless I really, really want to see something. But there are times I'll hit the video store (like the past weekend) and rent lots of things. :)
