I may be recalling incorrectly, but I believe you can just go to a glasses store - like lenscrafters - and ask them for plain glass lenses. I have no idea how much this would cost or if they even do it, but hell, if they can make prescription ones they can probably get you a set of plain glass, yeah?

*takes your two cents and uses it to do laundry*

But I will give that a shot next time I'm near one. Thanks!

Well, glasses, if you want to buy them, in the end: Something like this?

Going by the description, I have a feeling they do a fair bit of cosplay. By the fact they've been recommended many times over on steamfashion for goggle lens, I get the idea they do a lot more than they know.

XDD Sweet! I don't think I'll have time to get them before con -- and I'd have to figure out some prescription nonsense, because I think it'd be neat to have them work as actual glasses, but....I'm definitely going to keep an eye on that! Thank you!

Try an antique store for the glasses frames. You can buy them with the old prescription in for about $20, then take them to an optometrist and have plain glass put in. I had my prescription put into my vintage frames, and I love them to death. I end up looking a bit like Ben Franklin when I wear them, but that's all part of the mystique.
