I love that you are so educated on music, mainly classical. I grew up listening to opera and classical and I love it so, so much. It's the most beautiful music in the world to me, and often the kind I need to listen to to help me through my anxiety.

Thanks for the link!

I hope you enjoy it! I actually went to college for music and have an almost-completed doctorate in composition/theory with a minor in musicology. So it's definitely one of my great loves! The Monday night class I teach is a music appreciation one.

Classical music is AMAZING. It can be heartbreaking and beautiful and uplifting and angry and every other emotion you can think of. I love it because no matter WHAT my mood I can find something awesome to listen to that fits it!

That's so awesome! It's such an unappreciated music and I think that's so tragic. I mean, I'll literally listen to anything. I'm a music lover, and I am always on the lookout for anything new that I might like, but I can't count the number of times people have gone *blinkblink* at me when I tell them I love classical and opera.

I completely agree with you on the emotion bit - I think classical music has the biggest range of emotions. Like you said, it can make you feel so many different things.

I'm going to friend you for this wonderful, wonderful 100 things topic. I always wanted to get to know more classical music, but I am extremely slow about listening to new (to me) music. This gives me a nice little push. :)

No need to friend back of course.

I'm so glad you're enjoying this topic! I'd be happy to add you back but I suspect you'd be bored with the rest of my journal as it mostly focuses on my dog and our agility training!
