Ugh, winter. I just spent close to a week in Florida (all work, no play) and come back to temperatures that keep dropping below freezing at night.
I feel guilty using one of my Sarah Connor icons when I haven't seen this week's episode yet, but I'm still recovering from last week's awesomeness. So instead I've been gorging on action vids tonight,

The only person I know watching SOA is e_juliana, I think. I hear it's good, but I have limited time/energy, and bikers aren't exactly my thing. Also, I'm binging on TWW reruns on Bravo...

My go-to choice for TV critics, Alan Sepinwall (no offense to Tim Goodman!), seems to think that SOA is good after getting off to a slow start. I can't say that bikers are exactly my thing either (though apparently the show has a couple of solid female characters in the mix), but I'm trying to make some contingency plans to fill the void for when The Shield wraps up next week, so I'll probably check it out around the holidays when everything else is on break.

Heh, I can see why that show might be back in fashion these days. *g* By the way, go Henry Waxman! But I can't see him inspiring the kind of fannish fervor that Rahm Emmanuel has generated recently.

I do pretty much cross worlds. I think, like me, most ppl are introduced to vidding through Youtube. I eventually joined LJ because I realized this is where everyone is, and I wanted to be part of the community. There are so many scary talented vidders on Lj it's ridiculous. LJ really is the place to learn pretty much everthing there is to learn about this hobby. I still upload all my vidz to YT & Imeem because it's just easier to view my vids there & there are vidders on YT that I admire, that are not on LJ.
balistik94 (Bill) Created a community for vidders on YT (http://www.youtube.com/group/artvid) have a vist :)

And thanks for the link -- there's so many vids on YouTube that I've never known how to find the vidders making stuff that I'd most likely be into, so up until now I've mostly stumbled across vids randomly and that can be pretty hit or miss. I was wishing last night for something like a YouTube vid digest, with weekly recs for the most interesting new stuff, especially from people who aren't on LJ. But there's so many vidders out there that I don't know how anybody could sift through all of it. So now I have one YT community that I can check in on regularly.
