[the video feed starts, to focus on a side way glance of a wounded man, sharp spikes through his chest; protruding front and back. blood flows freely down his arms-trails of copper liquid smearing his face with the tell-tale sign of scratched bruises on his skin. but in the red-tinted sky quickly turning black his appearance may be misleading

[Now that... that looks just a little bit too familiar for comfort. Kanda might hear the slight click of a video feed starting up, but otherwise there's relative silence at first as Havoc simply stares. Blood... So, so much blood.

It makes her feel sick.]

[the moment passes, though, and she finally speaks up - if Kanda were to actually check the feed, he'd notice that she looks relatively calm, if... slightly somber. You look a lot younger than she was.]

[he only just about notices the video feed, but can't do much other than have a delayed reaction. kanda hadn't realised he had a bracelet of such technological proportions stuck to his wrist.

instead of reacting calmly to it, he throws a retort only he can conjure despite the circumstances. rather an unimpressed retort, with a tinge of venom and accusation, coupled by an attempt to catch his breath.]

[She's watching, though much concentration isn't actually put on his face - more to whatever part of the injuries she can see.

If the video feed is large enough, and if Kanda is bothering to pay attention, her dress has some holes in it rather similar to the ones he no doubt has from being skewered.]

[Wide-eyed and with an impressively stunned look on his face. He's seen Kanda injured before, of course, and he knows how tough he is, but this... This is something on a whole other level, and he's not sure he's not about to see the swordsman's last moments pass right here on screen.

It is reassuring to hear the irritation in his voice though, because hey, that probably means he's not ready to kick the bucket just yet. If Lavi can find him fast then.... Well, he's not sure what then, but finding him sounds like a good start.]

[kanda debates not replying, as here he finds himself with having to choose with the lesser of two evils (either be tracked down by the bookman apprentice or go around impaled for whatever period of time), but finds his plans thwarted as he coughs out a vile amount of blood.] -shit. [it figures lavi would be clueless! granted, kanda helpfully ignores the fact that he is in the same shoes (or even more ignorant) than the bookman. he presents his annoyance with facial expressions, deciding not to waste his breathe on insults-yet.

instead, kanda focuses on looking around him and noticing, with growing annoyance, that it's too dark to make out much of anything.]

[he thinks he can make those out just a few feet away; maybe it's meant to be ironic that he's standing so close to a graveyard.]
