I digress, but that was a perfect line summing up everything. How Hei and Ed work out their spat with just the right amount of coercion and dancing around, how they interact...just...wow.

Really, the last two paragraphs are amazing.

It may have taken some time, but it was totally worth it. I love what you did with the characters (I already told you, but I'll say it again - they were both arrogant insufferable prats, in the best way possible XD), and I liked that in the end it was Ed who managed to swallow his pride and do what needed to be done. The kid's grown up a bit, huh?
And of course, the fact that it ended on a note of mutual respect, and not something too fluffy, just added to the awesomeness.
