Great stuff, I love this Ed <3 And Alfons is just trying to come to grips with his emotions, right? Right? XD

:) Glad you liked it. Keep in mind we're working from a third-person limited POV here - this Ed is a lot of fun to tag along after, but he is a b-i-a-s-e-d source of information, as a warning ;)

<3 Glad you like it - I'm having a lot of fun writing Ed as a biased observer :)

Ahahaha. Okay, let's see, what to say here?

Well, first and foremost, all the little details you put into this story really caught my attention as I sat and read it. Germany was nice and gritty; I liked the atmospheric touches, the attention to the setting, the references to external sources (Der Golem), the fact that Drachman = parallel to German (nice touch!), the ponderings about Hohenheim, the bits of chemistry, Ed's culture shock and his difficulty in adjusting to Earth's sciences. Very awesome. You genuinely conveyed to me the emotions I would expect Edward to experience in this situation. You made me believe that yes, this is how it would go down ( ... )

Thanks for this wonderful in depth review - it really lets me know what is working and what isn't :) I hope I can conclude it satisfactorily.

It's different from the usual, where they get along automatically. S'cool.
