I love this. Bittersweet, and poignant. Al questioning himself whether he would have done the same for Ed is very haunting. Of course he would have, but it's so human and wise to wonder about such a thing when you are down. Ed will never give up. If he was a brain in a jar he would find a way to go on, it's his strength AND his weakness.

Aw, glad to know somebody liked it XD In retrospect, this is by no means the worst thing I have ever written. Iron Drunk I think takes that honor XD

I really like it. It's an interesting question, where Ed will stop, if he'll stop, and how far is too far. Such an often neglected part of Al's personality is that he feels guilty too, he blames himself for Ed missing his arm, for all the crap they have to go through. It's a great story and this is probably the longest review I've ever written. *L*

It's a lovely vignette, and once again showcases your talent at characterization. Your Alphonse is so perfectly dead-on...he's usually the more restrained, rational one, but he does feel and want and need things just as badly as his brother does.

Even if it's just a snapshot of their life, I really like the theme you used in it. Especially the ending, with Ed's obvious determination and Al still following, and the last two lines. Added to memories too. ^^ Thank you. ♥

I liked this. I don't remember anyone going about Al's musings by wondering 'How far is too far?' So to me this is actually pretty unique. But I loved it. ^^ +heart+
