Her fingers grasp the sheets when she remembers how his kisses felt. How he left her body on fire and every inch of her aching for every part of him. She remembers how he left her exhausted and how he held her in his arms. She even remembers the awful attempt at making her breakfast afterwards.
She’s not supposed to remember these things; it could get her in trouble. These memories are the only thing that gives her solace while she lies in the isolated bed.
“Paul,” she whispers before her eyelids flutter and she tries to picture his face.
