Off to audition in a minute. This is the first time I've taken my tiiiiiiiny laptop outside the house, so I thought I'd take advantage of the free internets at the audition venue and write something to keep my mind off what's coming.

I've learned the lines they sent me. All of them. For the three parts. That makes it sound like a lot, but it's not. ( Read more... )

It was haaaaaaaaard! And long. I was there for nearly two and a half hours. And now, having seen the competition, whilst I don't think I was the least likely to be cast there, nor do I think I was amongst the top three either. But it was really good fun to do. I don't expect anything else to come of it, but I'm really glad I got involved :)

Oh wow...audition almost as long as the bleeding play itself! Or half as long...gee it's been a while since I've read/seen Macbeth. Well seeing the competition is always a good thing to get a feel for your strengths and weaknesses etc.

And yeah, it's great that you got to be involved!! People always used to say to me after auditions (that I failed heee) "it's so great you put yourself out there!" And the same goes to you :P

I don't even feel happy with my participation in an "ah well, it's all good experience" kind of way. It's definitely that I enjoyed the process, at face value, for what it was. It was fun, challenging and I'm glad I did it :)
