I know! But now I have to make this decision about universities, and I find it is really hard to knock one completely out in this decision. But I'm leaning more towards following my heart! I think it's more important what feels good, than what seems good.
Ah, yes, you tweeted about this, right? I think when it comes to school, really, you should go with your heart. That's what I plan on doing when I have to choose schools this year. Because, sure, you can make the logical choice to go a reputable school, if that's what you want, but make sure happiness doesn't get excluded from the equation entirely, you know? Because that's just as important, if not more so.
I feel your angst though. Assuming I get into more than one university, picking between schools is probably going to be the death of me. D:
Yep, that was me! I'm so desperate that I'm trying to get all the help possible. I can't do this on my own. I'm such an indecisive person, so this is pretty much hell for me.
I think you're right on this one. I'm really afraid that, if I choose for the reputable school and the reputable study (which is really a fantastic opportunity btw), I would exclude happiness. And that therefore university life wouldn't be as much joy and fun as it's supposed to be. While I'm sure I would find happiness and have an awesome time at the less reputable school with a less reputable study. It would make my future a little less bright, but I'm sure I would be happy. Therefore I really think for once I'm going to choose not for the best quality and the best future, but for the best feeling.
Ugh, I hate choosing. But thanks a lot for you help! <3
If I would do that, I think it would come down to following the heart! It's really hard to pick just one. It's about universities, and I'm so anxious to pick the wrong one.
I know from my own experiences that that is a hard choice to make. My piece of advice is to try to make sure that you pick the right “opleiding”. If you don’t like the university after the first year, you can always transfer to another one. It’s not unusual to do. Maybe you won’t choose “wrong”, there can be multiple choices that are “right”. I had a hard time choosing between law and business. There have been times I doubted the decision I had made, but it never led me to switching. You will have doubts, it’s normal. Just don’t get panicky and switch midway during the college year. I personally think one of the problems of the education system in our country is that it’s “normal” to switch if you are not 100% pleased with what or where you’re studying.
