Has anyone seen or heard from Hermione Granger? She hasn't been about the house in a couple of days, but I haven't seen anything looking like she was dragged out of here.
[After a few moments of chewing on the end of his pen and thinking about it, he adds:]
For that matter, has anyone seen or heard from Tom Riddle?
... She hasn't been in class all week, which has concerned me, given how she does her best to always be present. I've been meaning to drop by and see if everything was well.

I haven't seen much of hersince I've arrived. I'd thought she was off with you, or researching, or whatever it is she does here.
[Though it strikes Neville rather silly to be writing to someone who's a couple dozen feet away, so he'll depart from his gardening and seek out Harry in person. Ignore the thick gloves and dirty face, if you'd be so kind.] Does this happen often here?
[He's about to start writing a response, but it does seem silly when Neville's right there. After hearing about the potential for a garden, Harry is sort of expecting the gloves and the dirt.]
She's here sometimes, if she's not helping out elsewhere or tutoring. Her stuff is still in her room, but it sounds like she hasn't been at the school, the library, or at home.
The kidnappings happen every so often, but I don't think any rhyme or reason is given for them. They're pretty unexpected.

[He nods patiently during Harry's explanation, but frowns when the subject of kidnapping comes up.] I still don't understand the point of kidnapping someone already kidnapped.
[Harry frowns at that too.] It's for specific experiments, I suppose. They don't exactly explain it to you when it happens, and it's different for everyone.

I haven't seen either of them. All of Tom's things are gone.
