Mm~ It would depend on their tastes and how many people, I suppose. Hot pots are good for smaller gatherings, though. A good group of five to eight.

I've never actually heard of a hot pot. What is that?

Really? Oh, it's a very tasty dish. You put fish or chicken into a big pot of dashi and add whatever vegetables you like. Then everyone can eat out of the pot together.

What's a dashi? I don't think everyone eating out of a pot would be a good idea, since I dunno how many people will be there.

Well, usually a big turkey or ham is good for a main course. Than things like mashed potatoes, steamed vegatables, dressing, fruit salad. It'll take a long time to make, but that's what happens with a bunch of people.

Want some help? [Sees it as an opportunity to bond? And be happy that his 'wizard life' doesn't mean he forsook actually learning skills without magic.]

I was counting on it taking a while to cook. Er... I'm not sure I want to try stuffing a turkey for Christmas, so I'm thinking either a roast or a ham for the main part. I'm getting a lot of ideas for side dishes from everyone. I dunno how Mrs. Weasley does it.

I'd love some help! [Yeah, totally beaming at that.]

A ham or roast is good too. And my mom usually recruits Tuney or me to help cook the big meals.

Great! When are you planning on starting to cook?

Petunia's fond of big dinners, isn't she? Fancy ones. I think the ham would probably be the easiest to cook.

I think I'll start in the morning. It'd be nice to have it all done before the sun goes down, I think.

I'm not exactly the best cook around, but I can help you if you want? Baked yams... Roasted asparagus. Those are nice side dishes for a meal...

I'm not exactly a great cook myself, but I suppose I wouldn't mind some help in the kitchen. There's bound to be a lot of food for everyone.
