Yesterday I went to the wake of one of my friends' 5 month old son. It was pretty damned depressing. I was hoping that it wouldn't be open casket but it was. I feel so bad for him... on top of this, his wife has advanced cancer... and just so much more. I don't know what else to say.

I hope you all had a happy Black Friday. After years of working retail, I despise the day after Thanksgiving. I refused to even leave the apt. today. The hatred's not inexplicable, but the level of my hatred for the day and activities of borders on it.

Oh yeah, I have a girlfriend these days.

Today I asked my little sister (8 y/o) what she wanted for Christmas... and her answer was "Nothing. A lot of kids don't get anything for Christmas, so I don't want anything either."

Why???

So on the way home from hanging out with an awesome Joy, I stabbed myself in the lip with a tea tree oil chewing stick (think: a really sharp toothpick)... broke skin and it hurt like a m.f. at first. I just want to take this moment to say, I love the south. It's the middle of November and the high tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid-70s... and we had 2 days last week in the 80s.
