We got our first icing-over last night. I went outside this morning and everything was covered in a layer of ice. Bare tree branches were coated, dripping softly and shining like crystal. The best ones have a leaf or two on the tip of a branch, also coated in ice. It's not cold enough for the rain to turn to snow or sleet, it just freezes ( Read more... )

That's true, but we have nice, wimpy Southern ice here. So the trees and flowers and street signs ice over, but the roads just get wet and stay relatively danger-free. For now anyway...in a few weeks the roads will ice too and it will be less fun to drive. As of now I am enjoying it though. =)

Seriously, he was thinking it would make him look cooler. The kid is a dork. At least he does funny-dork things though, so I have the pleasure of laughing my ass off at his expense. =)
