So, Supernatural is back. Yeah, I know I'm a few days late. That's not important. What is important is that SPN is back and this first episode was very satisfying. Two weeks in and not a single heart-to-heart in the Impala? I'm not gonna lie; I'm starting to feel a little deprived.

And he refuses the Impala in favor of it? For shame, Sammy.

My personal fanon dictates that Sam refuses the Impala because she's the Impala. She's family and safety and love and home, and the second he gets behind the wheel, all the sloppy, makeshift seams that have been holding him together for the last year will unravel.

That...is beautiful. And it makes a lot of sense. After seeing the second episode, I also started thinking that maybe Sam left it in the hopes that Dean would eventually come back, if not to him than to hunting. And now that my baby's back, maybe this week we will get that heart to heart in her--or maybe they will use her to run over Christian. I'm cool with either.
