I agree that Chloe was totally 80s. And though some dresses were really pretty, it wasn't wearable. However, I do understand that Santino wasn't Santino-y enough and that Daniel's Asian Military theme didn't make much sense. but BOTH were wearable and pretty. Santino had two things against him with the boob thing but still it was a really really nice collection. I'd wear a lot of that stuff. and Daniel omg. I loved it. The big jackets and everything. It was so nice. When they announced Chloe I literally said out loud, "ARE YOU SERIOUS? SERIOUSLY? REALLY?" I especially don't think it is fair because she already has a store and is completely established. Daniel should have won in my opinion, or maybe santino.
I really didn't think Chloe deserved it. Her stuff was really well sewn, but this was Project Runway, not Project Business/Runway. I feel like they gave her too much credit for her business skill. Half of her dresses looked frighteningly similar to my sister's prom dress from 1989. No exaggeration. Same fabric, sleeves, etc. Except my sister's was blue.
Santino was damned if he did, damned if he didn't. If it'd been "SANTINO-y" they'd have given him hell for that, and as it was, he did a really classy and beautiful, cohesive collection, and they called it too safe. I hate Nina.
And yeah. If I could have that white coat of Daniel's I'd be all over it. I nearly wet myself when I saw it. I also really liked the ribbon lined wrap sweater.
