I think we've all learned our lesson, don't you? Yes, yes I think we have. I'm sure we can spend the rest of this voyage being civil to one another.
[surprises of surprises, the captain isn't on the bridge. it's hard to really tell where he actually is, however. the background is dark, save for an odd, shimmering distortion. like a black curtain with light behind it, it wavers and ripples some forty feet behind the captain. the rest of the room is too shadowed to make out.
the captain is pacing, only the light from his Sphere's camera illuminating the space around him]
I think I've very much enjoyed my time with all of you. That boy probably hasn't. You know I don't even think he remembers any of this. Always losing his fool head...that's why he'll never be captain.
[his voice takes on a sharper tone, acerbic and almost condescending] No, he'll never make it to that chair. He doesn't have the heart for it. Never did, never will.
[chuckles softly to himself, going back to his pacing] I remember the first time he told me they were promoting him. Thought he was joking...
[the Sphere feed cuts just as the captain wanders close to the shimmering distortion. just for a moment, a bit of curved metal comes into view]

What do your characters remember? What do they reminisce about during their quiet moments, or in their dreams? Well, why not tell us about them? Now that the captain has appropriately expressed his ire and the shrinking problem has disappeared, they should have plenty of time to think about days gone by. Of course, they might want to get some clothes on first. All passengers' sizes reverted back at the same time, instantly, so I hope no one suffers any trauma from catching a glimpse of exposed bits.
I think everyone will recall the voices that started to appear last plot post. Whatever they were before, they've now grown loud enough to hear. Passengers will be surprised to learn that the voices are their own. Passengers, as well as the people around them, will be able to hear their words from years past. These phantom voices happen at random; the character in question does not have to be remembering the specific event for it to be heard. Other sounds can accompany their voices as well. For example, are they remembering a conversation in the middle of an open battlefield? Blasts and gunshots and men screaming could be heard in the background. Maybe the memory was prom night! In which case very cheesy 80's dance music may be the backdrop instead. The only thing that can't be heard is the voice of whoever they are talking to. This is a solo act, so other than background noise, all that can be really made out as coherent sentences are the voices of the passenger in question.
Thankfully, the voices are not a constant din, as they can fade and be quiet for a time, but how long this time is and when it occurs is up to you, the player. Memories from different people can be heard at the same time as well. Mix and match if you would like! Oh, and one more thing: the memories can even be from time they've lost because of the ship. Did you chose for your character to lose some memories during a previous cycle? Well, now is their chance to relive them! In a manner of speaking. Hearing the memories won't make them return, but a character can at least catch some small glimpse of what they lost. This also goes for characters with memory loss not related to the ship. Does your character have a dark, mysterious past that they have no recollection of? They might just hear a bit of it now!
The only time that these memories will do more than just be heard is in front of a mirror. Should a character step in front of a mirror while an audio memory is in progress, the mirror will show the visuals to go with it. Remember that violent battlefield and prom night? Should the character in question look into the mirror, they will see these things as if a film crew had followed them around at the time, taping the whole event to be reviewed later. Breaking the mirror will end this phenomena prematurely (as in before the memory has run its course), but do you really want to break a mirror? That's bad luck.
Last but not least: something has changed. Where? How? I'll let you all figure that out on your own. ;D
